ABOUT ME

Hello!

My name is Laura and I’m an illustrator and author living in Bath, England.

​

My passion for the enchanting and fantastical realms of children’s literature has been with me since day one. It all began with the captivating illustrations that drew me into stories, from exploring atlases in my local library to immersing myself in classics like Brambly Hedge and Peter Rabbit.

​

My journey into the world of children’s illustration kicked off with my Level 3 Extended Diploma at Banbury & Bicester College, where I had the freedom to delve deep into my love for illustration. After graduating with distinction, I moved to the coast.

​

At Arts University Bournemouth, pursuing my bachelor's in illustration, I honed my skills, dabbling in various forms of visual storytelling, from zines to graphic novels. Despite the challenges of graduating amidst the pandemic, earning a first-class degree was one of my greatest accomplishments.

​

After university, I began to freelance and embarked on several illustration projects. I launched my Etsy store in 2020, sharing prints of my linocut work and illustrations worldwide. Along the way, I embraced graphic design opportunities and expanded my expertise with a Level 3 certification in Digital Marketing.

In 2024 I began my MA in Children's Publishing at Bath Spa. I also self-published my first children's book- Ava and the Moon Rabbit.
